In the city of Cuttack, there lived a Brahmin named Dhaneshwar and his wife, Rupavati. This Brahmin couple possessed everything related to wealth, prosperity, and luxury. They lacked nothing, except for the blessing of having children. One day, a yogi arrived in their city. The Yogi asked for alms and donations from every household, but he did not ask for anything from Dhaneshwar’s house. Perplexed, Dhaneshwar inquired why he had not sought anything from them.
Upon hearing Dhaneshwar’s question, the yogi explained that they do not accept donations from childless individuals. Saddened by this revelation, Dhaneshwar sought the Yogi’s guidance and asked what they could do to be blessed with offspring. The yogi advised Dhaneshwar to worship the moon on every Full Moon day.
Dhaneshwar, accepting the Yogi’s advice, performed the prescribed worship. Subsequently, he was blessed with children.
