Raksha Bandhan Celebration on 12 August

We all are confused about the date of Raksha Bandhan 2022, whether it will be celebrated on the 11th or 12th of August. This is because the Pooranmashi Tithi is starting from 10:40 am on 11 August, 2022, and will end at 7:06 am on 12 August, 2022. We calculate Tithi as per the sunrise, so because of this situation, we will celebrate Raksha Bandhan on 11 August. The reason behind this is that we are supposed to tie the Rakhi during Apran Kaal (peak of noon), which is regarded as the most important factor while celebrating Raksha Bandhan. This period will fall on the 11th, and therefore, most people are celebrating Raksha Bandhan on 11 August only.

However, if you wish to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on 12 August, AstroSage has got you covered as well. Below is the Abhijit Muhurat for 12 August, and you can tie Rakhi on your brother’s wrist during this period.
