According to mythology, a fowler lived on the Vindhya mountain. His name was Krodhan. Who was very brutal and violent. He used to loot and beat people. When his last day came, Yamraj sent his messengers to bring him to Yamlok and the messengers told the fowler that his last day had come. Fearing this, he reached the ashram of Maharishi Angira. He showed mercy to fowler and advised her to observe Rama Ekadashi’s fast and worship. Due to this fast, all his sins were eliminated and he attained salvation.
