As per the Hindu Panchang, the Dwitiya Tithi of Phalgun month’s Shukla Paksha is the day when Phulera Dooj is celebrated. This year, it will arrive on Tuesday, the 25th of February. The Tithi will begin from 23:16:40 on the 24th of Feb and remain valid until 01:39:36, of 26th February, 2020.

  • On this special day, Lord Krishna is worshipped. In most of the North Indian states, this festival is celebrated with great ace and vigour.
  • Devotees decorate the idols of various Gods and Goddesses in their houses as well as in temples on this day. The idols of Radha and Krishna are specially decorated with flowers.
  • Exquisite and grand functions remain the primary highlight of this day. People are seen applying Holi colours on the idols of Radha and Krishna and also on each other.
  • Temples are decorated with flowers and bright lights. As mentioned, idols of Radha and Krishna are exclusively decorated and kept on a colourful pedestal.
