Parana:Parana is the procedure for completing the Ekadashi fast. After sunrise on the next day, Dwadashi, the Ekadashi fast is ended. If you have fasted on Ekadashi, you must complete it by the end of the Paran Dwadashi period.
Hari Vasar: During Hari Vasar, the Ekadashi fast should never be broken. If you have completed your fast, you should wait until Hari Vasara is over before continuing your fast. Dwadashi Tithi’s Hari Vasara is the first quarter period. Early morning is believed to be the best time to complete any fast. - Take a bath and make a fasting vow first thing in the morning.

Mythology Related to Papmochani Ekadashi
Every Vedic custom has a purpose for being observed, and Papmochani Ekadashi is no exception. Rishi Chyavana lived in Vedic times with his son Medhvi, who was physically strong and beautiful. Medhavi was continually meditating and practising austerities in order to maintain his mental and physical purity. As he continued to endure austerities, King Indra of heaven became enraged and sent celestial beauties such as Apsaras and other lovely damsels to distract him. This was done on purpose to disrupt his concentration, but it had no effect because he was completely immersed in spiritual ecstasy.
Manjugosha, an Apsara, entered an ashram near Medhavi a few days later. She began singing beautiful melodies in a pleasant manner. He gradually became attracted to her, and when his meditation drew to a halt, Kamdev launched an arrow on Indra’s command, arousing pleasurable feelings in him. As a result, he fell in love with her, and all of the purity he had achieved through extended meditation vanished. He was so engrossed in her that he didn’t notice the passage of time.
Years later, she informed him that a significant amount of time had gone and that he needed to leave her. Medhavi realised his mistake after discovering that it was her deceit that had destroyed all of his meditation’s rewards. He cursed her to become the ugliest woman in the universe, enraged by her actions. He apologised to his father, Rishi Chyavana, for using all of his might over a minor act of chasing a woman. Chyavana calmed him down by telling him that he needed to perform Papmochani Ekadashi in order to be free of this sin. He also advised Manjugosha to follow the same. As a consequence of Lord Vishnu’s mercy, they were both cleansed of their sins.
