Navami Shraddha 2022: Significance
During Pitru Paksha, we pay homage to our ancestors by performing Shraddha, On the ninth Tithi of Pitru Paksha i.e. Navami Shraddha, deceased married women are worshiped. By performing the Shraddha of the mother, wife, daughter, and other females of the house, the harmony and prosperity of the house increases. Also, if women worship and observe a fast on this day, they get the boon of good luck.

Navami Shraddha 2022: Rituals
- Wake up early on this day and take a bath. Wear clean and fresh clothes.
- If you are performing the rituals at home then you must keep a post in the south direction of the house and spread a white cloth on it.
- Now put the photo of the deceased women of your family for whom you are performing the rituals, and offer flowers.
- Then light a lamp of black sesame.
- After lighting the lamp, offer Gangajal and Tulsidal on the photos of your ancestors.
- This must be followed by the recitation of Grarud Puran or Shreemad Bhagwat Geeta.
- Keep aside food for your ancestors.
- Keep aside food for the Panchbali i.e. cow, crow, ant, bird and Brahmin as well.
