Now let us talk about the significance of the month of Jyestha. Goddess Ganga descended on the earth in this month, and that day is celebrated as the Ganga Dussehra. Another important festival that falls in the month of Jyestha is Nirjala Ekadashi, which is observed on the 11th day of the waxing phase of the Moon.
