As per the legends of the Mahananda Navami, there was a highly religious daughter of a moneylender. She used to worship the Peepal tree every day, where Goddess Lakshmi lives. Goddess Lakshmi and the moneylender’s daughter became friends in this sequence. Following this, Goddess Lakshmi brought the moneylender’s daughter to her house and honored her by sending her away with a gift. Following this, Goddess Lakshmi asked her, “When are you going to invite me to your house?”

When she heard this, the moneylender’s daughter got upset and began to think how she would welcome Goddess Lakshmi to her house. Despite this, the moneylender’s daughter invited Goddess Lakshmi to her house. When the moneylender’s daughter returned home, she told her father everything, and he became concerned as well.
