• Before beginning the Puja, create a small pond-like structure from clay and cow dung near a wall, binding its banks with Ghee and jaggery. Plant a neem branch beside it. Pour raw milk and water into the pond and place a lit lamp on its bank.
• Prepare a Puja thali containing lemon, cucumber, banana, apple, Sattu, Roli, Mauli, and Akshat. Also, keep a vessel filled with raw milk.
• In the evening, after getting dressed and completing your Solah Shringar, begin the Puja of Neemdari Mata.
• First offer water and a sprinkle of Roli to Neemdari Mata and place Akshat before her.
• On the wall behind Neemdari Mata, make 13 dots each of Mehandi, Roli, and Kajal. Traditionally, the Mehandi and Roli dots are applied with the ring finger, while the Kajal dots are made using the index finger.

Offering Arghya to the Moon is one of the most important rituals of Kajari Teej. After completing the Puja of Neemdari Mata, devotees wait for the Moonrise and perform the following rituals with devotion:
