Indra Dev, the god of heaven, once held a festival in his palace, which was attended by gods, heavenly men, saints, and so on. Gandharva sang songs at this festival, and Gandharva females danced. One of these Gandharvas was named Malyavan, and he sang highly melodious songs. He was as stunning as his voice. At the same period, among the Gandharva girls was a stunning dancer named Pushyavati.
