According to the Hindu calendar, January marks the end of the Pausha month and the beginning of the Magha month. It is essential to understand that the Pausha month holds considerable significance in Sanatan Dharma, as it is regarded as the tenth month of the Hindu year. In the Gregorian calendar, the Pausha month typically spans from December to January. It follows the Margashirsha month, also known as Poorn or Pous. This year, the Pausha month will run from December 16, 2024, to January 13, 2025, with the Magha month commencing immediately after, starting on January 14, 2025.

According to religious scriptures, the worship of the Sun God is referred to as Bhag during the Pausha month. • On Saturdays during the Magha month, tie black gram and black sesame seeds in a cloth and donate it to a poor person. This remedy helps gain the blessings of Lord Shani and alleviates financial problems.
