According to scientific principles, on the Ashtami of Phalgun Shukla Paksha, evil energy begins to enter into the natural world. As a result, it is common not to engage in any auspicious activity at this time.

Holashtak 2024 Auspicious Or Inauspicious To Buy Gold Or Silver

Holashtak falls soon before the Holi celebration. In such a situation, many people are unsure whether they should purchase new jewelry and clothing at Holashtak or not. Does buying gold and silver in Holashtak bring bad luck? So let us know the answer to this question.

According to astrology, the eight days of Holashtak represent the time when Hiranyakashyap cruelly tortured his son for eight days. In such conditions, they are difficult days. This is why everything purchased during this period is believed to bring only misery and sadness into the person’s life.

If somebody buys gold or silver during Holashtak, it will bring them sadness. Apart from that, if a woman wears it, she will experience grief in her life. This is why Holashtak prohibits the purchase of gold and silver, a new house, a new car, or doing other auspicious work.

Many astrologers link the eight days of Holashtak to those of Shraddha. In such a case, if you wish to undertake some new or auspicious work, wait a few days and then begin doing auspicious work at the start of Holi, i.e. on the Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha in Chaitra month. This will result in both happiness and success.
