Religious Significance Of Observing Fast On Hartalika Teej 2023
Hartalika Teej celebrates the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Goddess Parvati performed rigorous penance on the banks of the Ganga River in the Himalayas to obtain Lord Shiva as her husband. According to mythology, Lord Narada brought Lord Vishnu a marriage proposal for Goddess Parvati. At this point, Goddess Parvati started weeping and informed her friend that she was performing extreme penance in order to obtain Lord Shiva as her husband.
