Hanuman Jayanti on the Day of Choti Diwali!

The tradition of Narak Chaturdashi is followed on Choti Diwali i.e. a day before the festival of Diwali. In this pretext, Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on this very day. The reason behind this is that there is no mention about the exact date of birth of Lord Hanuman, who is also known by the name of Bajrangbali, and therefore, his birth anniversary is celebrated twice in a year.

The very first birth anniversary of Hanuman Ji is celebrated on Purnima in Chaitra month while the second is celebrated on Chaturdashi in Krishna Paksha during Kartik month. This year, the second anniversary is going to be celebrated on November 13, Friday. It is believed about this day that the festival of Choti Diwali is considered to be extremely important to get the happiness of Lord Hanuman.
