4 Days Of Chhath Puja

Chhath Puja 1st Day (Nahaya-Khay, 28 October 2022, Friday)

Nahay-Khaya ushers in Chhath Puja. On the third day of Shukla Paksha, under Anuradha Nakshatra, one will bathe and eat. People who fast on this day clean their homes and gather all the worship supplies. After taking a bath, the devotees eat Sattvik food before the other household members begin to eat.

Chhath Puja 2nd Day (Kharna, 29 October 2022, Saturday)

According to the calendar, Chhath Mahaparva’s Kharna usually happens on Kartik Shukla Panchami, but this year, Kharna is falling on a Saturday. On this day, Devotees observe fasting and after having a bath, make Chhathi Maiya Prasad. Prasad is made for this purpose in a pure pot over an earthen stove. On this day, following evening worship, jaggery Kheer is prepared and shared among all household members. This Kheer is then consumed during the fast.

Chhath Puja 3rd Day (Astachalagami Surya Arghya, 30 October 2022, Sunday)

It’s a very special day. The devotees fasting on this day prepare offerings and food for worship after taking a bath in the late afternoon. Thekua and Poori are made specifically in the Prasad. After that, everyone travels to Chhath Ghat in the evening to offer Arghya to the setting sun. Let us notify you that the sunset on October 30 will occur at 5:37 PM.

Chhath Puja 4th Day (Udeyman Surya Arghya, 31 October 2022, Monday)

At Chhath Ghat, Arghya is offered on this day to the rising Sun. On this day, the devotees wait for the sun to rise while holding Soop in their hands as they stand in the water before daybreak. Lord Surya is presented with milk, water, and other items at sunrise. Following that, everyone who is fasting breaks their fast by consuming prasad. The time of sunrise on October 31 is 6.31 am.
