Durga Maha Ashtami Puja (30 September 2025, Tuesday): The eighth day of Sharadiya Navratri holds special significance for Hindus and is known as Maha Ashtami. The festival of Maha Ashtami is celebrated with great pomp on the next day of Durga Puja and Kanya Puja is also performed on this day. On Maha Ashtami, Goddess Durga is worshipped in the same manner as on Maha Saptami. On the day of Maha Ashtami, after taking the grand bath, Shodashopachar Puja of Goddess Durga is performed. 

Durga Maha Navami Puja (01 October 2025, Wednesday): The ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri is known as Mahanavami. It is the last day of the nine days of Navratri and Durga Puja. Like the Ashtami date, there is a tradition of worshiping girls on the Navami date as well. Mahanavami Tithi is dedicated to Mother Siddhidatri and worshiping the Goddess on this day bestows her blessings. Also, on Mahanavami, there is a tradition to perform Shodashopachar Puja of Goddess Durga followed by havan. 

Durga Visarjan (02  October 2025, Thursday): The last day of Sharadiya Navratri i.e. Dashami Tithi has special significance because many festivals are celebrated on this day. On this occasion, along with the end of Sharadiya Navratri, Durga Puja also comes to an end. Also, Durga Visarjan is done on Dashami Tithi. Let us tell you that the devotees of Goddess Durga break their fast after bidding farewell to the Mother and celebrate the festival of Vijayadashami. 

Dussehra (02 October 2025, Thursday): The festival of Dussehra is known as Vijayadashami which is one of the biggest festivals of Hindus. According to the Hindu calendar, every year the Dashami date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month is celebrated as Dussehra. This festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. According to religious beliefs, on the tenth day of Sharadiya Navratri, Lord Shri Ram killed Ravana, the king of Lanka, and freed his wife Sita from Ravana’s captivity. Also, it is important to worship weapons on this occasion. 

Sharad Navaratri Paran (02  October 2025, Thursday): Navratri Parana is celebrated on the last date of Sharadiya Navratri i.e. Dashami Tithi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha. Let us tell you that with Parana, the Sharad Navratri which lasts for nine consecutive days, ends. 

Papankusha Ekadashi (03  October 2025, Friday): Every year, Papankusha Ekadashi falls after the end of Sharadiya Navratri and on the next day of Dussehra. According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of the Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month is known as Papankusha Ekadashi and on this day, Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the savior of the world, is worshipped with rituals. It is believed that by observing the fast of Papakunsha Ekadashi and worshipping Lord Vishnu with a true heart, the devotee is blessed with wealth, grains and happiness and prosperity. Also, all the sins of the devotee are destroyed. 

Pradosh Vrat (Shukla) (04 October 2025, Saturday): According to the Panchang, Pradosh fast is observed on Trayodashi Tithi of every month and this fast comes twice in every month. Let us tell you that the Pradosh fast falling on different days of the week is known by different names like Som Pradosh Vrat, Bhaum Pradosh Vrat and Shani Pradosh Vrat etc. Lord Shiva is worshipped during Pradosh Vrat.
