Shivratri of Sawan month will fall on 2nd August, Friday. Chatrudashi Tithi will begin on 2nd August at 03:29 pm and will end at 03:53 pm the next day. Shivratri is worshiped during the Nishita period, hence Sawan Shivratri will be celebrated on 2nd August.

Wake up early on Mondays or Sawan Shivratri and after taking the shower, pray to Lord Shiva. Perform Jalabhishek on Shivling and keep a fast. Throughout this day, the devotees shall keep chanting the Shiva mantra and praying to him.
