Life Story Of Tulsidas

Tulsidas was born in the Uttar Pradesh village of Rajapur in 1532 AD, according to mythology. His father was Atmaram, and his mother was Hulsi. Tulsidas ji is claimed to have had 32 teeth when he was born, and the first word out of his mouth after birth was “Ram”.

His name was changed to ‘Rambola’ as a result of this. His parents abandoned him a few days after his birth, and he was raised by a maidservant. When Rambola reached the age of five, his maidservant died, leaving Tulsidas ji an orphan once again.

Following this, Narharidas ji adopted Rambola and brought him to Ayodhya. His sacrifice rites were placed here. Tulsidas ji thus received his education from Sadgurudev Shri Narharidas ji at Ayodhya. He was the one who taught him the Shri Ram Mantra and gave him the name Tulsidas from Rambola. Tulsidas ji’s full name, however, was Goswami Tulsidas.

After ten months in Ayodhya, Shri Narharidas guided him to Varah Kshetra, and it was then that Tulsidas first heard about Ramayana from Sadgurudev. When Tulsidas ji first read Ramayana, he assumed that only scholars could understand it, thus he wrote down Ramayana in Awadhi in Sanskrit so that ordinary people could also understand it.
