एकवेणी जपाकर्णपूरा नग्ना खरास्थिता।
लम्बोष्ठी कर्णिकाकर्णी तैलाभ्यक्त शरीरिणी॥
वामपादोल्लसल्लोह लताकण्टकभूषणा।
वर्धन मूर्धध्वजा कृष्णा कालरात्रिर्भयङ्करी॥
ekaveṇī japākarṇapūrā nagnā kharāsthitā।
lamboṣṭhī karṇikākarṇī tailābhyakta śarīriṇī॥
vāmapādollasalloha latākaṇṭakabhūṣaṇā।
vardhana mūrdhadhvajā kṛṣṇā kālarātrirbhayaṅkarī॥

Mythology Associated With Goddess Kalratri
According to mythological beliefs, it is said that there was a demon named Raktabeej. Proud of his power, he started troubling the gods, goddesses, and humans. The speciality of this demon was that as even a single drop of blood fell on the earth from its body, another demon was born.
Troubled by the demon, all the Gods went to Lord Shiva seeking a solution to this problem. Lord Shiva knew that only Goddess Parvati can kill this demon. So, he requested Goddess Parvati after which she created Goddess Kalratri using her power and brilliance.
Goddess Kalratri killed the demon Raktabeej and filled her mouth with every drop of his blood before it could fall to the ground. This way, when his blood was finished, Raktabeej’s life also ended. This form of Maa Parvati is known as Goddess Kalratri.

Goddess Saraswati Is Also Worshipped On The Seventh Day Of Navratri
On the seventh day of Navratri, i.e. on Maha Saptami, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped along with Goddess Kalratri. Goddess Kalratri is considered the most ferocious incarnation of Navdurga, while Goddess Saraswati is considered the goddess of knowledge and learning. It is believed that Maa Kalratri is very famous among the people who practice black magic i.e. superpowers. Devotion to the Goddess destroys the evil demons and removes all kinds of planetary obstacles from a person’s life.
The more ferocious and fierce this form of Goddess Kalratri is, the more auspicious fruits are obtained by worshipping her. Also, she is known as Shumbhkari because of the auspicious fruits attained from her worship.

- On this day, after waking up early in the morning and taking bath, you must offer incense, lamp, Akshat, fragrance, flowers and jaggery to Goddess Kalratri in worship. Then read the Katha and recite Mantras of the Goddess. In the end, you must listen and recite Maa Kalratri’s Aarti. It is believed that by doing so, not only Goddess Kalratri is appeased but also reduces the negative effects of Saturn.
- On the seventh day of Navratri, you must light 9 lamps around a Tulsi plant. This will bring happiness, wealth, and prosperity to your house.
- Besides this, if you want to attain auspicious results in your marriage then offer silver toe rings, silver boxes filled with Kumkum, anklets, silver coins of Goddess Ambe, and other makeup items to married women. This will bestow the special blessings of the Goddess on you.
- On the seventh day of Navratri, take 11 leaves of the Peepal tree and write ‘Ram’ on them. Arrange these leaves into a garland and wear it to Lord Hanuman. This will eliminate all problems in your life.
- It is also believed that if you bring gold or silver coins during Navratri then this also appeases Goddess Durga and her grace will always remain in your life.
- If you constantly face financial problems in life then keep some shells tied in a red cloth in the safe of your house. This will help you get rid of all money-related issues.
- You can perform another easy remedy. On this day, bring an image in your house of the Goddess Laxmi residing on a Lotus. By doing so, you will get rid of money-related problems and all your wishes will also be fulfilled.
