- While offering water to the Sun, one must add red sandalwood and offer the water in a copper pot. Besides this, add Roli, vermilion, and turmeric to water and offer Arghya to Suryadev with it.
- Light a red lamp, that is, by adding red sandalwood in ghee before lighting it.
- Some other things to offer to Suryadev include- Guggal incense, saffron, Roli, and vermilion.
