The people of the land were very pleased with the king, living happily and prosperously. 

The king had a beautiful and virtuous queen named ‘Champa’. The king and queen also had a son named ‘Shankhadhar’. He has been wicked and sinful since childhood. He always committed evil deeds and caused harm to others. The king and queen were very worried about his sinful deeds, but no kind of preaching or advice had any effect on Shankhdhar.
