According to Hindu Panchang, Kalashtami Puja is performed on the Ashtami Tithi during Krishna Paksha every month. This month, Kalashtami will be observed on 12 July 2020. On this auspicious day, one of the incarnations of Lord Shiva named Kaal Bhairav is worshipped. According to the prevailing belief about this day, revering the Lord on this day eliminates all kinds of negative energy circulating within the house.

On the day of Kalashtami, Bhairav Dev is worshipped mainly during the night as Lord Bhairava has been considered the God of Tantriks. Along with revering Bhairav Dev at night, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati should also be worshipped.

After Brahma ji was beheaded, Bhairon Dev was accused with Brahma-Hatya.
