Why Should You Not Tie Rakhi While Bhadra Kaal?

According to mythical legends, Shurpanakha tied a Rakhi on her brother Ravana during the Bhadra period, which resulted in Ravana and his entire lineage being destroyed. This is why sisters should avoid tying Rakhi to their brothers during Bhadra. It is also said that during Bhadra, Lord Shiva performs the Tandava dance while enraged. As a result, any auspicious task done at this time may have unfavorable outcomes due to Shiva’s wrath.

Bhadra is supposed to be Lord Surya’s daughter and Lord Shani’s sister in the scriptures. She, like Shani, is known for her severe attitude. Because of her nature, Lord Brahma gave her a particular place in the estimation of time, and Bhadra has been considered an unfortunate period since then.
