The Magh Gupt Navratri begins on Magha Shukla Pratipada, and it ends on the Navami Tithi. This year, the Magh Shukla Pratipada Tithi is on 22 January 2023 and the Navami Tithi is on 30 January 2023. 

Pratipada Tithi Beginning: 22 January 2023, Sunday, from 02:25 am.

Pratipada Tithi Ending: 22nd January 2023, Sunday to 10:30 pm. 

Formation Of Pious Yogas:

According to the Hindu Panchang, Magh Gupt Navratri on 22nd January 2023, will start in Siddhi Yoga. Vajra Yoga will be formed on this day till 10:04 am. After this, Siddhi Yoga will be formed which will last till 05:39 am the next day. Significance Of Gupt Navratri:

The ten forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped with complete rituals on the Gupt Navratri of the Magha month. The ten forms of Goddess Durga are Goddess Kali, Goddess Tara, Goddess Tripura Sundari, Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, Goddess Chinnamasta, Goddess Tripura Bhairavi, Goddess Dhumavati, Goddess Baglamukhi, Goddess Matangi, and Goddess Kamla. Magh Gupt Navratri 2023: Worship Methods

  • The nine days of Gupt Navratri, which occurs in the month of Magha, has special significance. During this time, after taking a bath in the morning, cover Goddess Durga’s picture or idol with a red cloth, or red chunri. 
  • When you establish the Kalash (metal pot) on this day, one must plant Jowar seeds in an earthen pot as well. Proper amount of water has to be sprinkled daily in that earthen pot. 
  • In a Kalash (metal pot) put holy water of Ganga, a few coins, and rice, and then install that in an auspicious time. Also keep Amrapallav and Shreefal. 
  • Offer fruits and flowers to Goddess Durga and then worship with complete and proper rituals during all nine days. 
  • On the Ashtami or Navami, after worshiping the Goddess, do worship of nine girls, and then offer them puri, chana, halwa etc. as prasad. Give the nine girls some money as well. 
  • On the last day after worshiping Goddess Durga, recite her Aarti as well. After that, immerse the Kalash (metal pot) at an auspicious place. 

Avoid Engaging In These Works On Magh Gupt Navratri 

  • During the days of Gupt Navratri, one should not cut their hair. Doing Mundan rites is prohibited as well. 
  • During these nine days, one should have food that does not contain onion and garlic. 
  • It is believed that during the nine days of Gupt Navratri, one should not sleep for extended periods of time, especially those people who will observe the fast for nine days.  
  • During the days of Gupt Navratri, partners should refrain from engaging in acts of copulation. 
  • During this Navratri, one should stay away from leather things. One should also not wear purple, blue, or any dark-colored clothes during Gupt Navratri. 
  • During this auspicious one should not offend or slander a woman under any circumstances. 
  • It is considered a sin if one consumes alcohol and non-vegetarian food during these nine days. 
  • It is believed that during these nine days, one should sleep on a mat of  Kush rather than on a bed.

Mantras To Recite While Worshiping Goddess Durga

Reciting these Mantras of Goddess Durga is considered to be highly auspicious and fruitful. It is believed that by doing this the worshiper gets relieved from all the problems. Since ancient times people have had great faith in Gupt Navratri. During the worship recitation of these below mentioned Mantras is done, among others.

For Progress In Jobs:

If you are facing various kinds of challenges in your jobs, or you cannot achieve a promotion in your job, then during the Gupt Navratri worship Goddess Durga while sitting on something which is red in color. With this, also offer nine cloves kept in a red cloth for nine days to Goddess Durga. During the worship, do the Aarti of Goddess using camphor. After the ending of Gupt Navratri, keep all the cloves covered in red cloth with yourself. 

For Profit In Business:

Light a ghee lamp and worship Goddess Durga with complete and proper rituals and recite Sri Sukta in order to earn good profits in business. With this, make a thread yellow by applying turmeric; offer that thread to the Goddess Durga, and then wear the same thread around your neck.

If you are suffering from a problem of debt, then, offer the Goddess Durga a red flower every morning of each day. One should also recite the Siddh Kunjika Strot during all nine days. 

To Attain Children: 

To get blessed with a child, take a bath in the morning during Gupt Navratri, tie a matted coconut in a red cloth, and then tie Kalava around it 21 times. Rotate the coconut above your head seven times, and then keep it in the place of worship. Recite Sunderkand and after nine days, let the coconut flow in the flowing water.
