In the great battle of Mahabharata, Shri Krishna advised Arjuna to kill Karna, who was unarmed at that very moment. There were two reasons behind this. First, Shri Krishna wanted to deconstruct Arjuna’s ego as he claimed to be the greatest warrior of the world. Hence, he advised Arjuna to kill an unarmed Karna with his arrow.
- Second, Karna himself knew that he sided with Adharma (the evil), in a conscious as well as unconscious manner. Despite everything, he wanted to end his life respectfully and there could not be any better way than losing his life in the battle of Kurushetra.
