The day started with a piece of sad news. Famous stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava passed away at the age of 58. On August 10, while exercising in the gym, he had a sudden heart attack and fell unconscious. Afterward, the family admitted him to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi in critical condition. Seeing Raju’s condition, doctors immediately shifted him to ICU, where he was kept on a ventilator. His condition was deteriorating continuously due to a heart attack, and even after 40 days of continuous efforts, there was no improvement. According to the information from the doctors, after the heart attack, the oxygen level in his brain had become very low, due to which he went into a coma for the last 40 days. Today, i.e., on 21st September, he was declared dead by the doctor at 10.20 am.

Hailing from the middle-class family of Kanpur, Raju always wanted to be a comedian. He started his journey of becoming a stand-up comedian with the talent show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. A versatile talent, Raju Srivastava has performed in many stage shows both in India and abroad. He also has some Bollywood movies to his name, including Rajshri Productions’ Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, and Bombay to Goa. Also, Raju worked in Bigg Boss Season 3 and Nach Baliye Season 6.
