Amrit Siddhi Yoga: Importance, Date & Time

According to Hindu astrology, the Amrit Siddhi Yoga spans for about  6 to 12 hours in a day and occurs a few times every year. Amrit Siddhi Yoga negates all unfavorable Yogas and times, such as Vishti or Bhadra, Vaidhriti, etc. This Muhurat is great for travel, job interviews, exams, shop openings, purchasing, selling vehicles or land, etc.

There are a few conditions that must all be met on a particular day in order for Amrita Siddhi Yoga to exist. A specific Nakshatra from the list of 27 Nakshatras in Hindu astrology should be present on the day and the combination of the two forms the Amrit Siddhi Yoga. In the month of January the Amrit Siddhi Yoga will be forming twice, once on the 18th January, 2023 at 7:15 am to 5:23 pm and on 27th January, 2023 at 7:12 am to 6:37 pm.

Now, as we all know this auspicious Muhurat or timing is formed by a combination of a particular Nakshatra on a particular day. Therefore, let us first understand what is a Nakshatra and its importance.

Nakshatra in Vedic Astrology

The Lunar mansion is referred to as a Nakshatra in Vedic astrology. This is because the planet Moon spends around one day in a Nakshatra. As a result, each Lunar mansion is approximately 13°20′ long. Furthermore, they are separated into four divisions known as Pada. Each Pada is approximately 3°20′ long.

According to Vedic Astrology, Lunar constellations or Nakshatras have a link with the Moon’s natal symbolism. The Moon stays in one particular zodiac sign for about 2.3 days. Moon is also known as the ruler of the Nakshatras. As a result, it monitors planetary positions and is in charge of predicting each individual’s life. The position of the Moon in a particular Nakshatra on a particular day is assessed to calculate good or bad Muhurat or timings.  The usage of Nakshatra is far more essential in Vedic astrology than the use of zodiac signs. According to Vedic Astrology, the Nakshatras signify where the results of our labor (our Karma) are transferred and preserved.
