According to the Hindu Panchang, the second week of January will begin on the Ekadashi tithi of Shukla Paksha in Bharani Nakshatra. - Pausha Putrada Ekadashi- The Ekadashi date in the month of Paush is considered significant in Hinduism. On this day, natives fast to appease the Lord Vishnu and seek his blessings. Also, this fast is observed for the attainment of a child. Paush Putrada Ekadashi will be celebrated on 6 January this week.
- Telang Swami Jayanti– Considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva and Lord Ramakrishna, the birth anniversary of the Great Saint and Ascetic Swami Tailang will be celebrated on 6 January this week.
- Vaikuntha Ekadashi- Vaikuntha Ekadashi also falls on 6 January this week. Lord Vishnu is venerated on this day. It is believed that one attains salvation by observing a fast on this day and worshipping Lord Vishnu with utter devotion.
- Masik Karthigai- This festival is mainly celebrated by Tamil natives. It is believed that the festival of Masik Karthigai is celebrated when Kritika Nakshatra becomes strong. This day is also known as Karthigai Deepam. This festival will also be celebrated on 6 January.
