The most spectacular thing about Saint Ramanujacharya is his bodily form, which means that his mummy is still preserved in the Ranganathaswamy Temple, situated in Tamil Nadu. The mummy is 1000 years old which has been preserved really well. It has been stored in Sri Ranganatha Temple, situated on the banks of river Kaveri of Srirangam in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. 

It is believed that Ramanujacharya visited this place in the autumn of his life. He stayed in this very location until he turned 120 years old. After a certain period of time, he seeked the permission from Lord Ranganathan to leave his physical form and unite with the supreme one. He then announced his impending death in front of his disciples. It is believed that as per the regulations of the saint, his body is kept in the corner most spot  of a South – West direction of this place.

In such a situation, this can be considered to be the only temple which actually stores the physical form of a saint who died long back. His mummy is not just stored there.
